Pappelina Duo[/caption]Pappelina rugs now have two styles of rugs in a wider format of 85cm by 160cm or 260cm.
These new rugs have a looser weave giving a slightly thicker rug so they are nice and soft under foot. The Mono is weaved using two colours to give a subtle colour combination and the Duo is a beautiful striped pattern. The edges are folded on both to give a contrasting finish.
Made using classic weaving methods on a traditional weaving loom, excellent swedish craftsmanship is always present. They are also remarkably easy to care for as they are machine washable. Lotta used to have a Pappelina rug on the ground of her stall at Portobello market which had probably been washed 20 times but still looked as good as new. they can be rinsed and mopped as well as machine washed at 30 degrees so are incredibly durable and long lasting. But they aren't just a practical, functional rug, they are stunning and their versatility means they add a splash of colour to any room in the house, or even the garden. With a variety of patterns, colours and sizes it may be difficult to choose which one you want, but very easy to love your new Pappelina rug. Since their introduction Pappelina have become an icon of Swedish interior design and contemporary style.
